Picking out seeds is the best way to pass dreary winter days. I can spend weeks pouring over seed catalogs, building carts, changing my mind, and starting all over again. It’s a grand time. Baker Creek, Sow True Seeds, Urban Farmer, all are worthy of a visit.

For the love of Garlic
I love garlic. Grilled, baked, smashed with cream cheese, Im not picky. They say I’m afraid of vampires. But 1) have you ever seen one at my place? Nope. And 2) I’d be toxic to them anyways. What umami is to vegetarians, garlic is to me.

I went to Florida for a 3 day conference week before last, and apparently I missed fall in South Carolina while I was gone. The weather, it seems, has decided it is time for winter.
