This summer was crispy dry. And now we have been blessed with cool temps and buckets of rain. Among all the other wonders rain brings, mama moos tend to be encouraged to have their babies in a storm. Which proved to be the case lately.

Garden Boots and Buckets
A good sign of summer at our house is having white buckets strewn about the kitchen. These 2 gallon food grade containers hold summer’s bounty until we can chop, freeze, can, and otherwise nom on our garden harvest.
Winter is…here.
I went to Florida for a 3 day conference week before last, and apparently I missed fall in South Carolina while I was gone. The weather, it seems, has decided it is time for winter.
